Who does what
Each optical shop using OptiTakip is the data controller for its own customers' data under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). OptiTakip processes that data on the shop's behalf as a data processor.
OptiTakip is the controller for the account details of shop owners and staff, and for visits to this website.
What we process
Account: name, email address, a password hash (the password itself is never stored), shop details.
On behalf of shops: customer names, phone numbers, dates of birth, prescription values, sales and payment records, messages sent. Prescription values are health data, a special category of personal data.
Technical: sign-in times, error logs, IP addresses.
Why we process it
To provide the service, keep accounts secure, send required emails such as password resets, and meet legal obligations. Legal bases: performance of a contract, legal obligation and legitimate interest. Marketing messages are only sent with explicit consent.
Where data is stored
Data is kept on servers hosted in a data centre in France, inside the European Union, and backed up daily. Under KVKK this counts as a transfer abroad; the basis for that transfer and the required safeguards will be set out in the final version of this notice.
Who we share it with
Data is never sold. It is shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (server hosting, email delivery, the WhatsApp connection) and with authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as the account is open. Records with a legal retention period, such as sales, payments and the prescription register, are kept for that period; data past its period is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK you may ask whether your data is processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, learn who it was shared with, object, and claim compensation for damage.
